Area 1
You have to free 7 Captive Tuskarr to summon the first boss. The locations of the Tuskarr are shown as yellow circles on the mini map.
Bracken Warscourge
This mob is dangerous to pull with a lot of other mobs because of Pack Tactics! Be cautious of how many mobs are pulled with this one. It can easily lead to a wipe if you pull other strong mobs with this one.
- Pack Tactics: Increases the damage done of nearby allies by 15% and reduces their cooldowns by 25%.
- Ragestorm:
Bladestorm like ability that deals heavy physical damage to all players within 5yds for 10 seconds. This is an Enrage and can be removed to cancel the ability.
- Hideous Cackle:
This is the most dangerous ability the mob has. It fears all players for 7 seconds. This is very dangerous because there are so many trash mobs in the area that feared players will easily pull 2-3 extra packs that will result in a wipe. Must be interrupted at all costs!
Cruel Bonecrusher
- Bloody Bite:
Inflicts physical damage to a random player a puts a bleed on them. This deals physical damage every second for 15 seconds or until the player is healed above 90% health. Healers should focus heal any players that get this bleed to remove it.
- Crushing Smash: Inflicts physical damage to target and reduces their movement speed by 30% for 12 seconds.
Bonebolt Hunter
- Shoot: Deals physical damage to random player.
- Toxic Trap: Throws a toxic trap at a random player’s location which is shown by a green swirl. When it lands it looks like a Tar Trap with a green circle around it. Any players that step on this trap take heavy nature damage. The trap leaves behind a toxic pool after activating that deals nature damage every second to any players that stand in it.
- Bone Bolt:
Shoots a random player dealing physical damage and applies a bleed. This bleed deals physical damage every 1.5 seconds for 20 seconds. While afflicted players take 50% more damage from the initial hit from Bone Bolt. This debuff can be applied multiple times to players but does not stack. Healers should be cautious if multiple Bonebolt Hunters are in a pack.
Vicious Hyena
- Infected Bite: Inflicts physical damage to target and reduces healing received by 15% for 12 seconds.
Decay Speaker
- Rotchanting Totem:
Summons a Rotchanting Totem that allows nearby casters to use decay magic. Should be killed ASAP! Alternatively players can try to move casters away from the totem.
- Decay Surge:
Deals nature damage to random player.
- Withering Burst:
Only has access to this if a Rotchanting Totem is nearby. Targets a random player and puts a green circle on them. Then deals nature damage to and anyone within their circle. Also applies Withering to any players hit. Should be interrupted if possible.
- Withering:
One of the most annoying diseases ever made. Deals damage every second and reduces haste and movement speed by 4% pet stack. When Withering expires it refreshes itself and applies a stack, goes up to 10 stacks. So if this gets on someone you have to wait for them to get 10 stacks before the disease will fall off, and that is a huge haste reduction at high stacks.
- Withering:
Trickclaw Mystic
- Earth Bolt:
Inflicts nature damage to random player.
- Focus Earth:
Buff they put on themselves that increases magical damage done by 20% for 17 seconds. Good ability for Mages to Spellsteal.
- Witherbolt:
They only have access to this ability if a Rotchanting Totem is nearby. Fires a bolt dealing nature damage to a random player and applies Withering. Should be interrupted ASAP to avoid this disease from going out. This mob can spam cast Witherbolt if not stopped.
- Withering:
Same ability that the Decay Speaker uses.
- Withering:
Claw Fighter
- Vicious Clawmangle: Fixates a random player and deals physical damage to them every 0.5 seconds for 5 seconds. Players targeted by this should kite the mob, or CC it to break the fixate.
- Bloody Bite:
Same ability as the Cruel Bonecrusher uses.
Hackclaw’s War-Band

Rira Hackclaw
Tanks get in front of Rira Hackclaw when she casts Savage Charge
Tanks Face Rira Hackclaw away from others
Melee DPS get away from Rira during Bladestorm
Player fixated by Bladestorm should kite her away from others
All bosses gain a 10% stacking haste buff for every 10% total health missing from players. Healers should watch out for this as damage will increase the lower the party’s health is.

Gashtooth
Healers dispel Decayed Senses
Healers quickly heal up the party after Gash Frenzy
Player fixated by Gashtooth should use a defensive
Healers should focus heal the player fixated by Gashtooth

Tricktotem
Interrupt Tricktotem’s Greater Healing Rapids
DPS kill Hextrick Totem ASAP!
- Casts Bloodfrenzy when the first boss hits 15% health so all bosses must be damaged evenly
Prey on the Weak:
The War-Band gains a stack of Predatory Instincts for every 10% total health missing from players. Healers should expect more damage the lower the party’s health is.
- Predatory Instincts: Increases Haste by 10% per stack. They always have at least one stack.
Rira Hackclaw
- Savage Charge:
Long cast where she chooses a random player to charge, then readies to charge following her target’s location. When the cast ends she charges and collides with the first player hit dealing deadly physical damage. The tank must get in Rira’s path and use a defensive so she doesn’t one shot players.
- Bladestorm: Spins rapidly dealing heavy physical damage to anyone within 8yds every 5 seconds and fixates on a random player. This ability reduces her movement speed by 70%. The fixated player will need to kite this ability and other players must get away from this boss.
- Cleave:
Rira’s melee attacks hit all players in front of her within 8yds. Tanks should make sure to face Rira away from others, and players should make sure to never be in front of her.
Gashtooth
- Decayed Senses:
Throws an alchemical bag of decay at a random player dealing nature damage to them and blinding them. Applies a debuff that increases the player’s physical damage taken by 150% for 15 seconds. Needs to be dispelled ASAP!
- Gash Frenzy:
Shadowsteps between players 5 times inflicting heavy physical damage. All players hit get a bleed that deals physical damage every second for 45 seconds. This effect stacks. This effect is removed if the player is healed over 90% health. Healers must heal all players with this bleed ASAP!
Marked for Butchery: Fixates a random player and deals physical damage every 0.5 seconds for 4 seconds. Players can try to kite this but the boss moves fast. Using a defensive and having the healer focus the targeted player is a better option.
Tricktotem
- Earthbolt:
Cast that inflicts nature damage to a random player. Can be interrupted to stop the boss from spam casting but at least one interrupt needs to be saved for a more important cast.
- Hextrick Totem:
Casts Hextrick on a random player that incapacitates them for 15 seconds. This needs to be killed ASAP. Hextrick can be deadly if it targets the Healer.
- Greater Healing Rapids:
Heals an ally and puts a HoT on them that heals every 1.5 seconds for 15 seconds. This must always be interrupted. If it does manage to go off then purge the HoT.
- Bloodfrenzy:
When an ally’s health drops below 15%, Tricktotem increases the haste and damage done of all fellow gnolls by 30% until the end of the encounter. Players need to DPS the bosses evenly because of this effect.
Area 2
The path splits here where you can go left or right. Left leads to Gutshot and right leads to Treemouth. All that changes between these paths are the mobs you encounter. This path makes a big circle so you can easily get mob count from another path if needed. Currently I recommend going right first as the mobs are less annoying.
Right Path going to Treemouth

Brackenhide Shaper
- Summon Lashers: Summons an Infected Lasher to join the fight.
Infected Lasher
- non-elite mob
- Charge: Charges target and applies Bleeding to them.
- Bleeding:
Bleed that deals physical damage every 2 seconds for 10 seconds.
Fetid Rotsinger
Has Pack Tactics aura like Bracken Warscourge, be careful to not pull too many mobs with this one.
- Summon Totem: Summons a Decay Totem for 1 minute. Where it will spawn is shown by a green swirl. The Decay Totem pulses every 10 seconds, applying a stack of Withering to all players within range. This Totem should be killed ASAP or players should move away from it.
- Burst of Decay:
Targets a random player and puts a large green circle around them. When the cast finishes it deals heavy nature damage to the player and anyone inside their circle.
Decayed Elder
- Summon Lashers: Summons an Infected Lasher to join the fight.
Decaying Slime
- non-elite mob.
- Creates a green swirl around itself when it dies and explodes, dealing damage to anyone inside. Leaves behind a pool of decay that will damage players inside.
Wilted Oak
- Summon Lashers: Summons an infected Lasher to join the fight.
- Stomp: Puts brown swirl around the mob and then deals heavy physical damage to any players inside.
- Necrotic Breath: Frontal that follows the main target. Tanks should aim this away from others.
At the end of this path is Treemouth. Before getting into the boss fight I want to go over the left path since it is different.
Left Path going to Gutshot

There are a lot of Bonebolt Hunters, Cruel Bonecrushers, and Vicious Hyenas in this next area. There are also some Bracken Warscourge spread around.
Rotbow Stalker
Has Pack Tactics buff like Bracken Warscourge. Do not pull this mob with a lot of other mobs, especially beasts because this mob can buff beasts even more.
- Scented Meat: Throws scented meat at a random player inflicting heavy nature damage on impact, and applies a dot that deals nature damage every 0.5 seconds for 10 seconds. While afflicted nearby beasts will attack you. The player with this debuff should use a defensive, especially if a lot of beasts are in the pack. Healers should focus heal this player as they will be taking heavy damage.
- Shoot: Deals physical damage to main target.
- Bone Bolt Volley:
Fires a volley of Bone Bolts in front of the mob within 40yds. All players should get behind the mob to avoid getting hit.
- Bone Bolt:
Same ability that Bonebolt Hunters use.
- Bone Bolt:
Fleshripper Vulture
- Screech:
Inflicts heavy physical damage to all players within 40yds and silences players that are casting. This should always be interrupted or CCd to stop the cast.
Gutchewer Bear
- Maul:
Deals heavy physical damage to current target. This could be deadly if the bear is fixated on a player who has Scented Meat on them. Maul will hurt DPS and Healers a lot more than Tanks.
After clearing the first few packs there is a wooden gate. As soon as combat starts the gate will close, so make sure everyone is there!
- There is one Bracken Warscourge inside the gate, but a bunch of stealth mobs will jump out to attack when combat starts.
- Inside this gate there are also a bunch of traps on the ground with circles around them. If anyone steps in a trap they take heavy physical damage and are stunned for a few seconds.
- Mobs can be kited over the traps to deal damage to them.
- While fighting blue swirls randomly appear on the ground, these are from gnolls shooting arrows down at players.
- When combat ends the wooden gates will open.
Skulking Gutstabber
- Stealth: These mobs sit in stealth and attack when players are in range. Similar to the stealthed lions in Spires of Ascension.
- Bloody Bite:
Same ability that the Cruel Bonecrusher uses.
- Withering Poison:
Instant cast ability that deals nature damage to their main target. Also applies a poison that deals nature damage every 1.5 seconds, and reduces haste and movement speed by 40% for 15 seconds.

Treemouth
Tanks face Vine Whip away and stand still
- All but 1 player must run away during Grasping Vines
One player needs to be consumed by Treemouth
Healers focus heal the player getting consumed
DPS focus Treemouth so it spits out the player
The same player cannot be consumed twice
- Player targeted by Decay Spray stand still, others should get behind boss
DPS kill Decaying Slimes
- Infectious Spit:
Puts a disease on a random player that deals nature damage every 1.5 seconds and reduces movement speed by 10% for 20 seconds. This effect stacks.
- Vine Whip:
Frontal that follows the Tank. This does heavy physical damage and knocks back all players hit when the cast finishes. Tanks should make sure to face this away from the group and stand still.
- Grasping Vines: Vines pull all players towards Treemouth for 4 seconds. The first player to come into contact with Treemouth will be consumed. Players should run against these vines.
- Consume: Puts a brown swirl around the boss. Will consume the first player in the swirl and then puts a damage absorb shield on the boss.
Starving Frenzy:
If Treemouth doesn’t consume any players it goes into a frenzy for 3 minutes. Increases Treemouth’s damage done by 150% and haste is increased by 20%. (May be able to remove with de-enrage but have not tested it yet).
- Consuming:
While consuming a player they take heavy damage for 10 seconds or until the damage absorb shield is broken. Then the player will be spit out. Healers must focus heal the player being consumed.
Partially Digested: Digestive fluids remain on the player for 1 minute and increase how much damage the player takes from Consume by 200% for 1 minute. On Mythic players will have to take turns getting consumed, and use defensives. (If de-enrage does not work on boss. Then you would always bring a de-enrage class like Druid or Evoker.)
- Consume: Puts a brown swirl around the boss. Will consume the first player in the swirl and then puts a damage absorb shield on the boss.
- Decay Spray: Frontal that marks random player with a red arrow and follows them. This player should stand still and everyone else gets behind the boss. Deals heavy nature damage to all players in it and spawns 4 Decaying Slimes.
- Decaying Slimes should be grouped up and killed. They have the following abilities:
- Gushing Ooze:
Cast that deals nature damage to all players within 5yds of the mob. Should be interrupted as the damage can get high if a lot go off at the same time.
- Burst: When defeated the slime starts to explode, creating a green swirl around it. Anyone inside takes heavy nature damage. This leaves behind a pool of decay.
- Withering Away: Players who stand in the pool of decay take nature damage every 1.5 seconds and are slowed by 30%.
- Gushing Ooze:
- Decaying Slimes should be grouped up and killed. They have the following abilities:
Area 3 (Path going between Treemouth and Gutshot)

After killing Treemouth or Gutshot there is a path connecting both bosses. There will be more Skulking Gutstabbers, Rotbow Stalkers, Fleshripper Vultures, Gutchewer Bears, Vicious Hyenas, Bracken Warscourge and Bonebolt Hunters here.
Stinkbreath
- This mob patrols the bridge leading to Treemouth.
- Stink Breath:
Frontal that disorients all players in front of him for 4 seconds. Players should get behind the mob ASAP to avoid this.
- Violent Whirlwind: Inflicts heavy physical damage to all players within 7yds and knocks them back. Players should be very careful because you can easily get knocked off the bridge if you get hit by this. Tanks should bring this mob away from the bridge to reduce the chances of players getting knocked off, as there is no easy way to get back up.
Rageclaw
- This mob should always be skipped and can be found in an area next to the path between Gutshot and Treemouth. Just in case it pulls this is what it does.
- Feral Claw: Deals heavy physical damage to main target.
- Bloodthirsty Charge:
Charges at his target inflicting heavy physical damage and knocking them back. Anyone caught in his path also takes this damage and gets knocked back. Also applies a bleed to all players hit that deals physical damage every 1.5 seconds for 6 seconds.
- Bloody Rage:
Enrages increasing his attack speed by 100% and damage done by 125% for 10 seconds.

Gutshot
Tanks use mitigation for Gut Shot
- Players bait Ensnaring Traps away from the group
- Ranged players should stand near traps so Hyenas jump in them
Fixated players should kite Hyenas through traps
Healers need to focus the fixated player if the Hyenas catch up to them
Healers watch players with Crippling Bite
Interrupt every Master’s Call cast
- Huntleader’s Tactics: Permanent buff the boss has that increases the damage done of allies within 15yds by 15%, and reduces their cooldowns by 25%.
- Gut Shot:
Tank buster mechanic that deals heavy physical damage. Use mitigation for this.
- Ensnaring Trap: Throws a trap at a random player’s location, the targeted player is marked with a red arrow. Where the trap will land is shown by a green swirl shows. When it lands the trap arms itself and a green circle shows the range of the trap. All players or beasts that step in range of the trap will take physical damage every 2 seconds for 6 seconds and be rooted.
After being triggered for the first time, the trap will rearm itself after 5.2 seconds.
- Call Hyenas: Calls 2 Rotfang Hyenas into battle.
- Rotfang Hyenas have the following abilities:
- Bounding Leap: Creates a brown swirl at a random player’s location and then leaps to it. Anyone inside takes heavy physical damage and is stunned for 4 seconds. Players can stand near traps to bait the Hyenas to jump on them.
Crippling Bite:
Inflicts physical damage to target and applies a bleed that deals physical damage every 1.5 seconds, reduces healing taken by 50%, and reduces movement speed by 50% for 10 seconds. This is an instant cast ability. Healers should watch players that get this bleed.
- Rotfang Hyenas have the following abilities:
- Meat Toss:
Throws meat on a random player that causes them to Smell Like Meat, which makes all Rotfang Hyenas to fixate that player. This player should kite the Hyenas through traps to avoid taking heavy damage.
- Feeding Frenzy:
Enrages when chasing the player that Smells Like Meat. This increases all damage these mobs do by 100% for 10 seconds. This is why it is vital for fixated players to kite the Hyenas through traps. Healers should watch this player if they decide to not kite as Crippling Bite will hit very hard.
- Feeding Frenzy:
- Master’s Call:
Frees all Rotfang Hyenas from traps, and makes them immune to all such effects. Also increases their movement speed by 15% for 5 seconds. This needs to always be interrupted!
Area 4 (path to Decatriarch Wratheye)

There are more Bracken Warscourges and Fetid Rotsingers here so look out for Pack Tactics!
Important Note
- The path from Treemouth is much easier than the one from Gutshot. The path from Gutshot has more deadly mobs. There are pats with Bracken Warscourges and there are a bunch of Vile Rothexers which have some of the deadliest abilities in the dungeon. If even one fear goes off it will be a wipe due to the presence of many hard hitting mobs that will get facepulled by fears. The Treemouth path on the other hand only has one Vile Rothexer on the way to the cave and two Bracken Warscourges, and less deadly mobs overall. I recommend backtracking to Treemouth for now. This does work out because you spawn at the second boss you kill, not the third. So if you wipe on Decatriarch you will spawn at Treemouth and have a quick run back (if you killed Treemouth second like I recommended earlier in the guide).
Filth Caller
- Rotting Surge: Creates large green swirls around the area. Any players standing in these when the decay magic lands takes massive nature damage, and creates a pool of decay. Anyone standing in this takes heavy nature damage every 1.5 seconds to players standing in the decay.
- Decay Surge:
Inflicts heavy nature damage to a random player.
Wither Biter & Witherling
- Non-elite mobs that use the same ability so I grouped them.
- Bloody Bite:
Same bleed as previous mobs used, Healers need to heal players with this bleed above 90% health.
Disease Slasher
- Decay Claws:
Inflicts heavy physical damage to target and puts a healing absorb shield on them for 15 seconds. Healers should break this ASAP.
- Bloody Bite:
Healers heal players with this above 90% health.
Vile Rothexer
- One of the deadliest mobs if multiple are pulled, especially with any mobs that have Pack Tactics.
- Withering Contagion:
This is what makes this mob so deadly. Places a dot on a random player that puts a large green circle around them. Inflicts nature damage when applied, and reduces the player’s damage done by 20% and inflicts nature damage every 1.5 seconds for 15 seconds to the player and all players within the player’s circle. This effect also spreads to any players in the circle. What makes this dot so deadly is that it cannot be dispelled, since it is not classified as any effect despite having disease in the tooltip, and it stacks. So at high stacks players are doing no damage to enemies, and are getting hit hard. It will be unhealable at high stacks. Every time this debuff spreads to another player, the original player will gain a stack of the dot. Additionally the Vile Rothexer can target someone who already has the dot and apply another stack. These mobs cannot be interrupted or stunned so there is no way to stop it. If a player is not paying attention they can easily spread it to the entire group. It is very important that players do their best to steer clear of all other players. Pulling one Vile Rothexer at a time is manageable but 3 or more will be incredibly hard to deal with and can result in a wipe. There are ways to cheese the dot with things like Warrior’s Spell Reflect and Rogue’s Cloak of Shadows. This is why I suggest taking Treemouth’s path as it only has one Vile Rothexer before the cave.

Decatriarch Wratheye
Getting hit by most abilities applies a stack of Withering Decay that reduces damage done
Tanks use mitigation for Decaystrike
Healers quickly heal up tank after Decaystrike
- Avoid big green circle moving around room
DPS kill Rotburst Totem ASAP!!
Healer be ready for heavy group damage during Decaying Strength
- Spread for Withered Eruption
- When the boss fight starts the area behind the encounter area is filled with decay.
- Withering Decay:
Getting hit most of the bosses’ abilities applies a stack of Withering Decay. This dot inflicts nature damage every 1.5 seconds, and reduces damage done by 5% for 15 seconds. This effect stacks.
On Mythic this effect remains on players until Decaying Strength is used or Decatriarch Wratheye is defeated. What makes this dot so bad is that it reduces damage players do, so the more stacks players have the harder the fight becomes. This also becomes unhealable at high stacks.
- Choking Rotcloud: Frontal cone aimed at her main target, but does not continue to follow the target, so Tanks can avoid it. Deals massive nature damage to anyone in the frontal cone, applies a stack of Withering Decay, and creates a floating rotcloud. This is a large green circle storm of decay that will move around the area. Anyone caught in it takes nature damage every 2 seconds, is silenced, and has a stack of Withering Decay applied.
- Decaystrike:
Strikes target twice inflicting heavy physical damage with each strike, and applies a healing absorb shield. Tanks should use mitigation for this and Healers need to heal up this absorb ASAP.
- Rotburst Totem:
This totem must be killed ASAP! Ignoring the totem will result in a wipe, the Tank should always bring the boss to this totem. A green swirl appears where the totem will be spawned. Any players standing in this will take heavy nature damage.
- Rotting Burst: This is what makes the totem deadly. Inflicts nature damage and applies a stack of Withering Decay to ALL players. If this totem is allowed to spam cast then DPS will quickly be rendered useless and the Healer won’t be able to keep up with the damage. Killing the totem quickly will prevent any casts from going off.
- Decaying Strength: At 100 energy she will cast this. Applies Withering Eruption to all players. After the cast goes off she absorbs all stacks of Withering Decay on players, and turns it into Decaying Strength for herself. This increases her damage done by 5% per stack for 15 seconds.
- Withered Eruption:
This puts a green circle on all players, when the Decaying Strength cast ends all players and anyone in their circles take heavy nature damage. The size and damage of this is increased per application of Withering Decay. Players should make sure to spread with this and use defensives if they have high stacks of Withering Decay. Healers should be ready for heavy group damage.
- Withered Eruption:
